There’s never a shortage of chocolate to be found in supermarkets throughout December, but there is one particular sweet treat that just screams Christmas.
We’re talking, of course, about Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
The iconic product is everywhere during the festive season, being tucked into stockings and shared around the family. This year it was even transformed into a pie and McFlurry at McDonald’s, much to the delight of fast food lovers.
But fans o🍌f the sweet won’t be feeling very merry when they learn that a beloved product has been axed from Terry𒐪’s range.
The brand has confirmed to Metro that the white version of their iconic chocolate orange ball is no longer available, and it🎃’s fair to say people are pretty upset about the news.
Aꦯ Terry’s spokesperson said: ‘Terry’s has been creating delicious treats since 1823 and we’re proud of how popular our range has become at Christmas.
‘We’re continuing to evolve our Chocolate Ball range in line 🦩with changing consumer preferences, having recently also added 🐼both mint and plain milk chocolate variants. This means it won’t be a white Christmas as our White Chocolate Orange Ball is no longer available.
‘We hope this changes inಌ the future but for now we have lots of options for people to try including our Exploding Candy or Toffee Crunch Balls, so there’s still plenty to have a very Terry Christmas.’
On social media shoppers have been sharing their love for the axed itemﷺ, trying desperately to find any that are left in stores.
An X user named Carina (@menswear_styles) said she was ‘actually very upset’ about the lack of Terry’s White Cཧhocolat🌼e Orange segments this year.
While Lucas Upton proclaimed ‘gimme the White🅷 Terry’s Chocolate Orange’, and @nymphaeals claimed the White Choc🎶olate Orange could ‘save [them]’.
Karis Mullins thought the product was ‘unreal’, while Jack Bingham claimed it was ‘utterly💧 sensational’.
Facebook users also raved about the lost product, hailing it ‘gorgeous’, ‘yummy’ and saying it was like ‘hღeaven’.
This news comes after Terry’s launched a new flavour back in August – Chocolate Milk.
The chocolate orange ball, which didn’t ha𒐪ve any orange flavour in it, proved controversial, with some labelling 🐓it ‘pointless’.

‘Pointless without the o🎀range,’ @emcc901 commented, while @connor_draper21 likened it to ‘taking the Skittles rainbow and making it all the same colour.’
Elsewhere, @gazwilliams argued that this variation was ‘for the people who ask for a plain McFlurry,’ a sentiment shared by🐟 @blueeyes_ben, who said it was ‘for those who find vanilla ice cream a tad too wild for their tastes.’
And for @sewyo♒ursoul, the shape should’ve been that of a ‘milk carton,’𝓰 not an orange.
This isn’t the first revamp the Terry’s Chocolate Orange has undergone since the original hit the market in 1932 though. There are multiple versions on offer,♚ including dark chocolate and mint, as well as the minis sharing bag, orange milk bar, and truffles.
