Man runs out of barber’s mid-haircut to help police officer attacked in street

A man in the middle of a haircut ran outside to help a police officer being attacked in the street♎.

Kyle Whiting, 32, was in Haron Barber’s in Warrington, Cheshire when he saw a man at a bus stop hit the police man, throw him t𒁏o the ground and hold him down.

Within a sec🔯ond of the attack Kyle can be seen sprinting towards the pair, as his barber’s cloak – still tied around his neck – rather aptly flies in the wind behind him.🅰

He then grabs the mꦕan, pulls him off the officer and keeps hold of him as other ಌwitnesses gather around to help.

Another officer from a marked poliꦉce car parked around the corn🎃er then ran over, before a second squad vehicle pulled up and the man was detained.

The ofꩵficer who was attacked suffered a broken finger in💮 the scuffle – which happened at 11.40am on Tuesday in Lovely Lane.

He is also suffering from sore ribs.

A barber shop customer jumped from his seat while getting his haircut to help a police officer being attacked. Kyle Whiting was in the barbers when he saw an officer standing near a man waiting at a bus stop in Warrington, Cheshire. The attacker - in a black jacket and grey hoodie - then hit the officer forcing him to the ground during the attack on Tuesday at around 11.40am. My missus fell over a plant pot in the back garden, so she broke her foot so I went with her. So whilst we're waiting in in A and E, for you know the the short wait times that we do have in the NHS I basically was like I need a haircut might go and get my hair cut. So I went to the barber's near the Warrington Hospital. I've never been to this barber's before or anything. I'm about 2 min into my haircut and you know, when the barber just looks in the mirror and stands still, and you think, Oh, hold on. What's going on here? Have I been moving too much? Have I been twitching because he kind of just looked very angrily in the mirror, and I thought done something wrong? And next thing you know, he's gone up to the window and started recording. So I've gone over and looked, and then literally the second I've gone over and that's when I see the chap get punched, but then it's more the way they'd fallen into the ground, so you can kind of see the police officer's backl hit the curb. At this moment I think shit better go and help him. There's no other officers on the scene. So literally ran out and ran over, pulled him off, dragged him off, pinned him down, and sort of, held the back of his arm and put my knee on his back until the other officer come over. Then, once he was detained, just went back in for my haircut. Finished my haircut and then gone back into the hospital into the hospital into A and E. And right next sat right next to us is the police officer that had just been assaulted. He had damages to his finger. One of the police officers that was on scene sent me a message through messenger as well to say 'thank you so much for your support'. Everything happens for a reason. Never been to this barber's before, weren't initially going to that barber's. Walk down the road, and then, before you know it, I'm running out the barber's door, with back of my head shaved and with the cape down. My pants were about to fall down that's why my legs start flicking. I spoke to the officer. I double checked he's okay. I think he just had an injured hand from landing on the floor. No major injuries. Then obviously gave them the footage at the same time. So that can be used as evidence. He was very grateful, very thankful. It's just one of those things, isn't it? It's just all happens so sudden. It was just an instinct. The second I saw him get punched and throw on the floor. I think when I saw his back land, I was out the door. My sister is a police officer. You put yourself self in other people's shoes and if that's your sister, if that's your mum, dad or children, would you want somebody to go and help them? And if it was my sister alone without another duty officer. I'd want somebody to be there to protect her, to prevent her from getting any serious injuries, because she's already broken her knee and was sat at an office desk for about a year because somebody had injured her while being out on duty. If it was my sister, I'd want somebody to do the same for them. So it's just a common case of treating other people how you want to be treated. All the oncoming traffic had already stopped. People were already outside their cars, kind of looking by and recording because the kind of conflict stared about a minute and a half before the video. So when you kind of see me run over. That's when you see people sort of coming up. So all of those people you see running in were kind of already stood outside of their cars. I don't post on social media here like the last time I posted was probably about 7 months ago. But my missu tole me to post that on there she was like, that's going to go, Viral. Go on, then. So we're expecting to get a couple of 1,000 views, but nothing to the extent of the support that people have. 1% of people that have an opinion of not supporting police officers. Obviously, when their house gets burgled or they get attacked. They must obviously call the ghostbusters. I was completely fine, got the guy from the back, grabbed his arm, and him until other support came. I used to play rugby and my My dad's a Millwall fan as well. I think my just the way my dad is, like he's a proper geezer's geezer.
